  It was an evening to forget for Ronaldo as the Portuguese was denied by the woodwork on a couple of occasions, including missing from the penalty spot, but ultimately he got an opportunity to redeem himself during stoppage time. The hosts earned another penalty, and this time the 40-year-old made amends for his earlier miss as he sent the keeper the wrong way to double the advantage.

  After the match, Ronaldo shared a carousel of pictures on Instagram and wrote: "One of those nights where the ball just didn’t want to go in… until it did."
