Reported by Fabrizio Romano on X, Garnacho has made Chelsea his "priority" over bids from abroad. The 21-year-old is thought to prefer to remain in the Premier League and is "keen" on a move to the Club World Cup winners. Romano adds that the Blues are considering making a bid later this month.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Garnacho is part of Ruben Amorim's infamous 'bomb squad' and it is known he has no future at Old Trafford. This move may therefore go down to the wire as Chelsea look to secure the Argentina international for as low a fee as possible. The Blues have sold Noni Madueke and Joao Felix this summer and will hope to make further sales to fund a move for Garnacho. They have also been linked with RB Leipzig's Xavi Simons.

WHAT NEXT FOR GARNACHO?
Garnacho is not currently on United's pre-season tour in the US and is continuing to seek a resolution to his future, which he will hope comes before the new Premier League season kicks off in two weeks' time. The most likely scenario is that this transfer saga goes down to the final days of the window.
