Liverpool's preparations for the Carabao Cup final have been disrupted by injuries to Jota and Jones which mean both players will miss the game at Wembley Stadium, according to . Both players picked up problems in the 4-1 win over Brentford and scans have now confirmed they will miss the game against the Blues.

Manager Jurgen Klopp has plenty of problems ahead of the game with the duo joining Trent Alexander-Arnold, Thiago Alcantara, Joel Matip, Ben Doak and Dominik Szoboszlai on the injured list. Goalkeeper Alisson is also facing a battle to be fit for the final after missing the win over Brentford with a hamstring problem. Darwin Nunez also went off against Brentford, although his substitution was a precautionary move.
