ToggleWHAT HAPPENED?
At a press conference on Wednesday, Stoney revealed that her star defender is set to return to action this weekend, but that it will be too soon for Shaw.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Morgan and Girma have been out since April, while Shaw suffered a knock late into stoppage-time last weekend vs Gotham FC.
The trio will all be important to new incoming USWNT boss Emma Hayes this summer, especially with an incoming June camp on the horizon.

WHAT CASEY STONEY SAID
Stoney told reporters on Wednesday that “Naomi and Abby will be back,” referring to Girma and fellow U.S. international, Abby Dahlkemper.
Meanwhile, 19-year-old phenom Jadeyn Shaw is “day-by-day at the minute, so we won’t know [until Friday’s game],” per the Wave boss. USWNT striker Alex Morgan, however, is not set to return anytime soon, per Stoney.
“Alex is still out. She’s been running. She’s been doing technical work this week. She’ll be available when she’s available.”

WHAT NEXT FOR GIRMA?
The Wave take on Bay FC this weekend in NWSL action. Girma will make her triumphant return, ultimately meaning she will also be available for selection this June for Emma Hayes' first camp.
